But what is it to work with me, Andrea, as your acupuncturist? Because the one piece of advice I give to people searching for any practitioner is to find the leading regulatory body for that profession and choose a practitioner from there. That way you will know that they have the relevant experience, insurance and safety guidelines, making your treatment as effective and safe as possible.

What does it mean to work with Andrea as your acupuncturist?

Qualified to the highest standard

As a degree level qualified acupuncturist I am a member of the leading acupuncturist regulatory body, the British Acupuncture Council. By being a member of this body I am held to the strictest education and safety regulations in the UK.

This means I have completed 4000 hours and 3 years of education and I have to complete ongoing study.

This also means I have the correct insurance and procedures in place to ensure your (and mine) safety).

Continuous professional development

Learning acupuncture is a labour of love. It is a never-ending source of learning and for this I am extremely grateful.

In this past year alone I have completed additional training in:

Musculoskeletal conditions and treatment
Cosmetic facial acupuncture
Scalp acupuncture for neurological conditions

Acupuncture aftercare

When you leave your treatment I continue to support you. This might be:

Exercises I give you for at home
Food energetic advice specific to you
Ongoing email and telephone support if you have questions
I will continue to examine your case and hone my diagnosis making sure I am always giving you the best possible treatment

If acupuncture isn't right for you

If I decide that acupuncture is not the right course of treatment with you, we discuss next steps and I can help you find an alternative practitioner who will be better suited for what you need. Your health and welfare is my number one priority at all times.

Mobile acupuncture Hertfordshire

I bring the acupuncture to you. I am the only acupuncturist in Hertfordshire who offers a complete at home service. This means you can continue relaxing and healing after I have left.

There is no driving, no additional time taken out of your day.

Safe word

I am now offering patients the chance to communicate if they feel unsafe in their home or relationship. A patient can identify themselves as a person at risk by writing their initials in the top corner of the consultation forms. I cannot and will not share your details with anyone else but I can get you resources and a space to consider your choices.

I hope no one ever needs it, but it is there.
